Brief Description
Drumm Farm is a group foster home, unique in it’s mission to provide long-term, family-style homes for area foster children, keep sibling groups together and ending the frequent and damaging cycle of disruptive home moves for as many children as our resources will allow.
All proceeds for this event benefit the foster children of Drumm Farm. The Drumm run is managed, in part, by the good employees of GENESYS, a Kansas City Based material handling systems integration company.
Course Description
This race is for intermediate runners and features a cross country course setting on the beautiful Unity Village Campus.
Event Organizer - GENESYS
GENESYS is a material-handling systems integrator that specializes in engineering, design-build and construction. GENESYS was founded in 1997 on a single premise - sound practices transcend industry type. That is, engineering, project management, manufacturing and construction skill can be applied to any material-handling challenge - from light bulbs to jets to fiberglass.
Additional Information
This run is for intermediate runners. The first 5k is a cross country course that navigates around the Unity Village campus and golf course. The “back nine” 5k is a wild woodland loop of crushed gravel with two killer hills that will challenge any runner.
PACKET PICK-UP
Friday, February 26th– Packet Pick-Up from 4pm – 8pm Location: Drumm Farm Campus, Gardner Hall 3210 Lee’s Summit Road Independence, Missouri 64055.
RACE DAY INFORMATION:
Be warmed up and in place 15 minutes prior to the start time. Packet pick-up will be available the morning of the race but is not recommended. Packet pick-up will be open on Friday February 26th from 4pm-8pm on the Drumm campus or on race day from 6:30-7:30am at the race site. Race day registration will be inside the Unity Village bookstore.
Unity Village does offer warm, in-door space before and after the race.
